2026-06-09 00:58

Odaily Planet Daily News: The Kobeissi Letter posted on X platform, stating that the U.S. stock market capitalization-to-GDP ratio has risen to a record high of 238%. The total stock market value currently stands at $75.7 trillion, far exceeding the economic scale of approximately $31.8 trillion.

Since the S&P 500 bottomed on March 30, this ratio has climbed by 38 percentage points, and is now 90 percentage points higher than the level of around 148% during the peak of the internet bubble in 2000. Since the 2008 financial crisis, the growth rate of the U.S. stock market has been five times that of the underlying economy.
