AI Industry Frontier: Passive Components Are Raising Prices Again and Again, Leading Stocks Have Tripled in the Past Two Months
Odaily Odaily analyst jukan posted on platform X, stating that starting July 1, Murata will increase the ex-factory price of its full series of power inductors by 50%; Taiyo Yuden will uniformly raise the spot price of power inductor models with supply constraints by 150%, and increase prices for standard models by 35%.
Note: This round of power inductor price hikes is the latest continuation of the passive component price surge that began in late 2025, gradually spreading from tantalum capacitors → resistors → MLCC/ferrite beads to power inductors. Japanese giants (Murata, Taiyo Yuden) have strong pricing power in high-end products, while Taiwanese and mainland manufacturers (such as Yageo, Walsin Technology, Fenghua, Sunlord) have followed suit with multiple price adjustments.
