Iran claims to have attacked important facilities of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet again

2026-06-06 02:28

Odaily Planet Daily News Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement claiming that at 1:30 a.m. local time today (June 6), "four violative oil tankers, instigated and directed by the U.S. military, attempted to illegally exit the Strait of Hormuz without coordination and ignoring the established warnings of the Revolutionary Guard's navy." After issuing warnings, the Revolutionary Guard intercepted one of the tankers, while the other violative vessels turned back. The statement said that at 2:00 a.m., U.S. drones opened fire on a communication facility on Iran's Qeshm Island and the port of Sirik. In response to the U.S. military's aggression, the Revolutionary Guard's Aerospace Force immediately launched ballistic missiles, striking the U.S. Air Force base in Kuwait and important facilities of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The statement emphasized that Iran warns the enemy "if such malicious acts are repeated, limited responses will no longer be sufficient, and the enemy must bear the consequences of a complete halt in oil and gas exports through the Strait of Hormuz."
