Nominal value of $1.89 billion in Bitcoin options expires today, market attention largely focused on US stocks
Odaily Planet Daily News: Greeks.live posted on the X platform stating that nominal value of $1.89 billion in Bitcoin options expires today, including 25,600 BTC options expiring, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.56, a max pain point of $70,500, and a nominal value of $1.62 billion; 155,000 ETH options expire, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.92, a max pain point of $2,000, and a nominal value of $270 million. This week, Bitcoin experienced a sharp decline, once approaching $60,000. Due to the rapid pace of the drop, both BTC and ETH have moved away from the support of the "max pain point." The bearish market conditions have further dampened already low market attention; only 6% of options expire this week, with market attention largely concentrated on US stocks.
