U.S. Media: Lebanese Official Says Hezbollah Prepared for Full Ceasefire with Israel

An advisor to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri revealed that on Sunday local time, Berri informed the Trump administration that Hezbollah is ready for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire with Israel, pledging to ensure the ceasefire agreement is implemented. The escalating conflict in Lebanon threatens to undermine hopes of reaching an agreement to end the war in Iran, especially as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatens to attack Beirut.

Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday that Iran's negotiation team has suspended talks with the U.S. through mediators to protest Israel's actions in Lebanon. Berri is one of Lebanon's most powerful Shia political figures and has close ties with Hezbollah, though U.S. and Israeli officials question whether he can truly ensure Hezbollah's compliance with the terms.
