Odaily Planet Daily News: Bain Capital announced on May 18 that its sixth Asia-focused fund ("Asia Fund VI") has reached final closing, with total commitments of $10.5 billion. Approximately $9.1 billion of this comes from external investors, surpassing the initial fundraising target of $7 billion. Yuji Sugimoto, Bain Capital Partner and Head of Asia Private Equity, stated that the firm remains optimistic about the vast opportunities in the Asian market and will increase investment in talent development, technological empowerment, and comprehensive platform capabilities to achieve business scale growth in a steady and prudent manner.
