Iran says US has proposed 5 key conditions to Iran
The Iranian Fars News Agency reported today (May 17), citing sources, that the US has listed 5 key conditions in response to Iran's proposal: The US will not pay any compensation or war damages; Iran must ship 400 kilograms of enriched uranium out of the country and hand it over to the US; Iran is only allowed to keep one nuclear facility operational; The US refuses to unfreeze Iran's frozen assets; A ceasefire on all fronts must be preceded by negotiations. The report emphasized that even if Iran meets these conditions, the threat of US and Israeli attacks on Iran will persist. The report cited analysts as saying that the US proposal is not aimed at resolving the issue, but rather seeks to achieve through negotiations the political and military goals it failed to accomplish during the war.
