UK Reform Party leader faces ethics review over $6.7 million donation from Tether investor
Odaily Planet Daily News The UK Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards is investigating UK MP and Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage for allegedly failing to declare a personal donation of £5 million (approximately $6.7 million) from Tether investor Christopher Harborne.
Christopher Harborne holds a 12% stake in Tether. Nigel Farage stated the donation was received in 2024 before he announced his candidacy and was used for personal security, deeming it not subject to declaration. According to the UK House of Commons Code of Conduct, new MPs are required to register interests received in the 12 months prior to their election.
