HKEX: Total IPO funds raised in the first four months reached HK$151.4 billion, up 604% year-on-year

Odaily Planet Daily News According to data from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), the total market capitalization of the securities market at the end of April 2026 was HK$48.0 trillion, up 24% year-on-year. The average daily turnover in April 2026 was HK$253.5 billion. The average daily turnover for the first four months of 2026 was HK$271.1 billion, up 8% year-on-year. The average daily turnover of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for the first four months of 2026 was HK$39.1 billion, up 5% year-on-year. There were 49 new listings in the first four months of 2026, up 158% from 19 in the same period last year. The total IPO funds raised in the first four months of 2026 amounted to HK$151.4 billion, up 604% year-on-year. (Jin Shi)
