According to sources familiar with the matter, SpaceX has begun declining exclusive commercial launch orders for Falcon 9 after 2028 and has suspended new bookings for its Falcon 9 Rideshare program to accelerate the transition to Starship.
Additionally, SpaceX has halted production of certain non-reusable components for the Falcon series, but is expected to continue using Falcon 9 for launch missions for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA. Sources indicated that the timeline could be adjusted if Starship's subsequent development progress falls short of expectations. (Bloomberg)
