U.S. House of Representatives passes resolution again demanding Trump end hostilities against Iran

Odaily reported that with the cross-party support of a few Republicans, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Iran War Powers Resolution for a second time, demanding that Trump stop the war against Iran. The House vote result on the same day was 214 in favor and 208 against. Four Republican representatives joined Democrats in voting in favor of the resolution.

In June of this year, the House passed a similar resolution, which also saw four Republican representatives vote in favor. This action is largely symbolic, but it also highlights the unpopularity of the Iran conflict and the growing concerns among a minority of Republican lawmakers that they could face a significant backlash in the midterm congressional elections just months away.
