Odaily reported that Claude posted on X platform, stating that the subscription period for Claude Fable 5 has been extended by another 7 days to July 19. OpenAI also posted on X platform, stating that it has temporarily removed the 5-hour usage limit for Codex, with the duration of this change remaining unknown.

Previously, due to sustained tight computing capacity, Claude had repeatedly delayed switching Claude Fable 5 to a pay-as-you-go model. Subsequently, some users shared screenshots of high credit bills and cancellation receipts, indicating that if this continues, they would switch to OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol or xAI's Grok 4.5.
