Serenity: Institutions Begin Repricing Humanoid Robotics Business, Chinese Manufacturers' Total Production Capacity Expected to Reach 100,000 Units by Year-End

2026-07-12 10:19

Odaily reported that "White-Haired Stock God" Serenity posted on X platform, stating that IBK Research released a supply chain report on Boston Dynamics last month. The report shows that Boston Dynamics plans to achieve an annual production capacity of only 30,000 units by 2028, while the total production capacity of Chinese robotics manufacturers is expected to reach 100,000 units by the end of 2026, which may prompt institutions to begin repricing the humanoid robotics business.

In terms of the competitive landscape, the American camp includes Tesla, Figure, Apptronik, and Agility Robotics, while Boston Dynamics is controlled by South Korea's Hyundai Group; major Chinese manufacturers include Unitree, Fourier Intelligence, Agibot, Ubtech, and XPeng Robotics; European companies include Neura, Pal Robotics, Wandercraft, and Oversonic.

Additionally, IBK Research estimates that Atlas shipments will reach 11,290 units in 2028 and increase to 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, and 50,000 units respectively from 2029 to 2032. However, Serenity questioned this linear growth model, arguing that the actual volume curve is more likely to follow an S-curve, with estimated shipments of 15,000 to 20,000 units in 2028, increasing to 40,000 to 70,000 units in 2029, and further rising to 90,000 to 140,000 units in 2030.
