Bitcoin Holdings Down 48%, Empery Digital Sells 1,400 BTC to Shift Focus to AI Data Centers

Odaily Planet Daily News Bitcoin reserve company Empery Digital disclosed that it has sold 1,400 BTC over the past two months, with an average selling price of $62,200, generating total proceeds of approximately $87.1 million to invest in AI data center projects and repay debt. Specifically, a portion of the funds was used to acquire a 25% equity stake in an AI data center project, while another $10 million was used to repay outstanding debts. Following this sale, Empery Digital's Bitcoin holdings have decreased by 48%, leaving it with 1,514 BTC, valued at approximately $97 million at current prices. EMPD shares initially rose 4.2% at the market open before ultimately closing up 1.58%.
