Anthropic's valuation in the secondary market has risen to $1.2 trillion
Odaily Odaily reports that Anthropic's valuation in the secondary market has risen to $1.2 trillion, representing an increase of approximately 550% compared to the same period last year. "Anthropic is the most sought-after company in the history of the venture capital secondary market," said Javier Avalos, CEO of secondary trading platform Caplight; on that platform, Anthropic shares are trading at a $1.2 trillion valuation. Glenn Anderson, CEO of Rainmaker Securities, a commercial bank specializing in private securities trading, also stated that he has observed trades at a $1.2 trillion valuation, but such trades remain very rare due to a scarcity of sellers. Less than three months ago, reports indicated that Anthropic's valuation had reached $1 trillion, surpassing OpenAI for the first time. OpenAI's valuation has been much higher than Anthropic's in recent years, but it is currently valued at only $908 billion on the Caplight platform. According to Avalos, Anthropic's $1.2 trillion valuation represents a year-over-year increase of 550%. In its Series H funding round announced in May, the company was valued at $965 billion.
