BlackRock to Launch Nasdaq 100 Index ETF, Challenging Invesco's Dominance
Odaily Odaily reported on Tuesday that BlackRock will launch an ETF tracking the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index, aiming to meet investors' growing demand for participating in the AI-driven stock market rally. The "iShares Nasdaq 100 ETF," launched by the world's largest asset manager, will track this flagship U.S. index and begin trading on Thursday.
This comes shortly after Nasdaq revised its listing criteria to accelerate the inclusion of newly listed companies like SpaceX into the index. BlackRock's ETF will compete with Invesco's Nasdaq 100-related products; Invesco has long dominated this space, with its QQQ Trust Series 1 and Nasdaq 100 ETF favored by investors seeking exposure to large-cap growth and tech stocks. Last month, State Street also launched a Nasdaq 100 ETF. (Jin Shi)
