特朗普赦免11人SBF未入名单,今日庆典表态成焦点
Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. President Donald Trump signed a pardon order on the day before Independence Day (local time, 3rd), granting pardons to a total of 11 individuals, including several who were sentenced for violating the Clean Air Act. Trump referred to these individuals as victims "persecuted by the Biden administration," claiming they were imprisoned or faced jail time for repairing their own cars. He stated, "I am setting them all free right now." Notably, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the founder of FTX and the most anticipated potential recipient of a pardon within the crypto space, has not yet appeared on the announced list. Coinciding with today (4th) being the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States, Trump will participate in events across multiple locations. The White House had previously discussed issuing a large-scale pardon of 250 individuals as part of the celebration. However, these discussions remain at the consideration stage, with no official announcement made. The market is closely watching Trump's statements today. The competition for pardons under the Trump administration has significantly intensified, with the president exercising unprecedented personal control over the pardon process, frequently using his pardon power to support allies and advance his political agenda. The pardon process is managed by a small team comprising White House Special Counsel David Warrington, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin. Most cases undergo preliminary review coordinated by Warrington, Martin, and the Department of Justice. The shortlisted candidates are then submitted to Wiles for review, before Warrington and Wiles present the final selections to Trump for the decision.
