Odaily Planet Daily News: Jason Huang, founder of NextGen Venture (NDV), stated that the institution had previously successfully issued an early warning regarding the pullback risk of Strategy (MSTR). However, it is now taking the opposite approach, beginning to add Circle (CRCL) to its watchlist, seeking opportunities amidst subdued market sentiment.
Jason Huang analyzed that Circle's stock price fell approximately 14% yesterday, against the backdrop of multiple financial institutions jointly launching Open USD, which triggered market concerns about intensifying competition. However, he believes this logic is being misinterpreted by the market: the entry of major institutions will not shrink the stablecoin market size, but is more likely to expand the overall "pie." Currently, the global stablecoin market cap is only about $317 billion, indicating that the industry is still in its early growth stage. Historical experience suggests that payment and financial projects jointly promoted by multiple parties often fail due to misaligned incentives, such as Libra, so the core competitive landscape may not change in the long run.
Jason Huang revealed that he has now included Circle in a select list of tradable stablecoin-themed US stock targets. Although he has not yet provided a clear target price or plan for immediate position building, he stated that he will closely track its quarterly execution and fundamental changes.
