This tool is already capable of handling approximately 15% of production environment code changes, executing over 200,000 operations daily, and merging around 1,500 Pull Requests weekly. According to reports, Builderbot acts as an orchestration layer that coordinates the operation of multiple AI agents across the company's entire codebase, no longer limited to a single code repository. This allows engineers to make modifications across different systems. This development has also reignited attention on Block's layoff of about 40% of its workforce in February this year, a decision that the company's founder, Jack Dorsey, attributed to the rapid advancement of AI capabilities.
