Sources indicate that Apple's next-generation flagship chip, the A22 Pro, may adopt TSMC's 1.4nm process, expected to be launched in 2028. This will be Apple's first system-on-chip (SoC) to use this process, likely debuting in the 2028 high-end iPhone model. According to previously disclosed data from TSMC, compared to the 2nm process, the 1.4nm process can improve performance by approximately 15%-16% under the same power consumption, or reduce power consumption by approximately 27%-30% while maintaining the same performance.
