Crypto industry founders, CEOs, and investors have jointly sent a letter to Senate leadership, urging them not to weaken the developer protection provisions in the Clarity Act. The letter states that removing these protections could cause the United States to lose relevant technology developers. The U.S. Congress is pushing to establish a formal regulatory framework for digital assets. The Senate Banking Committee has advanced the Clarity Act with bipartisan support, and the bill is currently preparing for a full Senate vote. A key component is the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA). This provision stipulates that those who merely write open-source software, run nodes, or assist in verifying transactions, and have never taken custody or control of others' funds, should not be considered money transmitters under federal law.
