Odaily Planet Daily News: A new AI lab founded by Lin Junyang, the former core leader of Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen, has completed its first round of financing, with total funding reaching several hundred million US dollars and a post-investment valuation of approximately US$2 billion. Sequoia Capital China and GSR Ventures each led the round with a US$100 million investment, while Tencent participated with a US$20 million investment. Lin Junyang left his position in this March due to disagreements over team restructuring. The project has now initiated preparations for a new round of financing. Tencent, which is ramping up its AI layout, has previously invested in multiple domestic large model companies and is also currently participating in DeepSeek's latest funding round. (The Information)
