F2Pool Co-founder Wang Chun to Participate in SpaceX's First Interstellar Crewed Flight Mission, Plans to Fly Past Mars and Return to Earth
Odaily Planet Daily News SpaceX announced that Fram2 mission commander and F2Pool co-founder Chun Wang will participate in Starship's first interstellar crewed flight mission. The mission plans a two-year deep space flight, exiting the Earth-Moon system, flying past Mars, and returning to Earth.
Prior to this, Wang Chun will also join Dennis Tito and Akiko Tito on Starship's first commercial crewed lunar flyby mission. This mission is expected to last approximately one week and will fly past the Moon at an altitude of about 200 kilometers from the lunar surface.
SpaceX stated that since May 2020, the Dragon spacecraft has executed a total of 20 missions, sending 78 astronauts from 20 countries into space. In the future, Starship will further expand commercial crewed spaceflight to lunar and Mars missions.
