US Congressman Nick Begich has introduced the "U.S. Reserve Modernization Act," which currently has the support of 16 original co-sponsors.
The bill aims to establish a strategic bitcoin reserve, consolidate the digital assets currently held by the federal government, and lock in Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset for at least 20 years. The legislation will also explore budget-neutral strategies for purchasing Bitcoin and prevent future administrations or Congress from liquidating the reserves.
