Odaily reported that the Trump administration, through the U.S. Department of Commerce, has provided a total of $2 billion in funding to nine quantum computing companies in exchange for equity. IBM will receive $1 billion, chip manufacturer GlobalFoundries will receive $375 million, publicly listed companies including D-Wave Quantum, Rigetti Computing, and Infleqtion will each receive $100 million, and the startup Diraq is expected to receive $38 million.
