Tether Acquires SoftBank’s Stake in Twenty One Capital

Following the transaction, the SoftBank-appointed board member at XXI has resigned in accordance with the shareholders' agreement. Tether stated that this move reflects its continued confidence in XXI’s long-term Bitcoin strategy, considering XXI as "one of the most important opportunities to build a publicly listed company from scratch around Bitcoin." Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino noted that SoftBank provided significant institutional resources and a strategic perspective during the company's early development stage, while Tether’s confidence in XXI has been "further strengthened."
