Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Expecting Quick Results from Iran-US Talks Is Unrealistic
Odaily Planet Daily News: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated that expecting quick results from talks between Iran and the United States is unrealistic. Baghaei remarked that over the 47 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has accumulated deep distrust and suspicion towards U.S. actions.
He emphasized that it should not be expected that negotiations can yield results in a short period of time, "after all, this has been an extremely bloody war." He pointed out that the U.S. and Israel have been "extremely brutal," as evidenced by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon over the past two and a half years.
Baghaei said: "Under such circumstances, regardless of who the mediator is, expecting an agreement in a short time is unrealistic." (CCTV)
