Odaily reported that He Lifeng, China's lead official for China-U.S. economic and trade affairs and Vice Premier of the State Council, held a video call with U.S. lead officials, Treasury Secretary Bessent and Trade Representative Greer. The two sides had a candid, in-depth, and constructive exchange of views on implementing the important consensus reached by the heads of state of China and the U.S. during their meeting in Busan and in previous phone calls, on further appropriately resolving mutually concerning economic and trade issues, and on expanding practical cooperation. The Chinese side expressed serious concerns regarding the recent U.S. economic and trade restrictive measures against China. Both sides agreed to continue leveraging the role of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, constantly enhance consensus, manage differences, and strengthen cooperation, so as to promote the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
