Odaily reports that Pepperstone analyst Michael Brown stated that traders may reduce their exposure to risk assets before the Federal Reserve announces its interest rate decision at 2 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday, and before U.S. tech giants such as Microsoft, Google parent company Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta report their earnings. He noted: "Given these upcoming event risks, many participants will want to reduce their positions." He added that traders are also "realizing" that there is still no good news regarding the Middle East conflict, with no signs of a U.S.-Iran peace agreement, and the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked.
