Odaily Planet Daily News Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched a government money market fund called the Stablecoin Reserves Portfolio (MSNXX), designed to provide stablecoin issuers with a reserve asset holding solution that complies with the requirements of the GENIUS Act. The fund is part of the Morgan Stanley Institutional Liquidity Fund Trust and is primarily aimed at payment-type stablecoin issuers who need qualified investment instruments to support their token reserves. The fund maintains a stable net asset value of $1 by investing in cash, U.S. Treasury bills, notes, and bonds with a remaining maturity of 93 days or less, as well as overnight repurchase agreements collateralized by U.S. Treasury securities. Amy Oldenburg, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Morgan Stanley, stated that this initiative aims to modernize financial infrastructure and expand digital investment solutions for institutional clients. As of March 31, 2026, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and its affiliates managed approximately $1.9 trillion in assets.
