Analysis: Riot's BTC Transfer May Heighten Market Concerns Over Listed Miner Sell-offs
Odaily reported that Riot Platforms' wallet transferred out approximately 500 bitcoins on Wednesday, which may be part of a company sell-off. As of now, the company has not publicly commented on the matter. Analysis suggests this move could further intensify the sell-off trend among listed Bitcoin mining companies. Last week, another Bitcoin miner, MARA Holdings, disclosed that it sold around $1.1 billion worth of Bitcoin in March to fund discounted convertible bond repurchases. Recently, several listed Bitcoin mining companies have collectively sold over 15,000 bitcoins to balance operational and investment needs. However, the sell-off trend is not universal, as Bitcoin treasury companies, including Metaplanet, continue to actively accumulate Bitcoin. (Cointelegraph)
