Odaily reports that Mirage, the parent company of the AI video editing app Captions, has completed a $75 million growth funding round. The capital comes from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. Mirage has rebranded from "Captions" to an AI lab focused on self-developed models, targeting the advertising and marketing industries. It transitioned to a freemium model in January 2025. Data shows that Captions had over 3.2 million downloads in the past year, with in-app revenue of approximately $28.4 million, and has cumulatively generated over 200 million videos. The funds will be used for business growth and expanding into the Asian market. (TechCrunch)
