French Police Arrest 3 Suspects in Two Armed Robberies Targeting Cryptocurrency Holders
Odaily reported that French police have arrested two minors and a 35-year-old man. The three are suspected of carrying out two consecutive armed robberies targeting cryptocurrency holders on March 10: the first was an attempted break-in at a target residence in a southern Paris residential area, and about 30 minutes later, they broke into another female cryptocurrency holder's home, held her family hostage, and stole jewelry. Police subsequently deployed approximately 100 armed officers and two helicopters, pursuing the suspects for about 6 hours and recovering the stolen goods from the suspect vehicle. Prosecutors have charged the three with organized crime, armed robbery, kidnapping, and extortion, with two of them already remanded in custody pending trial. (dlnews)
