Odaily reported that the US unadjusted core CPI year-on-year rate for January fell from 2.6% to 2.5%, hitting a new low since March 2021, in line with market expectations. After the CPI data release, according to Gate data, spot gold surged over $20 in the short term, currently trading at $4,993.65 per ounce.
