Crypto Super PAC Fairshake Spends $1.5 Million, Aiming to Block Re-election of Anti-Crypto Congressman Al Green
Odaily News: The crypto super political action committee Fairshake is investing $1.5 million in an advertising campaign aimed at preventing Texas Democratic Congressman Al Green, who is critical of the crypto industry, from winning the primary election. This expenditure is committed by Protect Progress, an affiliate of Fairshake.
Al Green has been rated "F" by the pro-crypto organization Stand With Crypto for pointing out the potential risks of cryptocurrencies and voting against crypto policy legislation, while his opponent Christian Menefee received an "A" rating. The $1.5 million invested by Fairshake this time exceeds the more than $700,000 in campaign funds that Al Green has raised so far.
It is reported that Fairshake has a reserve fund of $193 million and also announced this week that it will spend $5 million to support another pro-crypto Republican congressman, Barry Moore. (Coindesk)
