U.S. SEC: Currently Operating According to Shutdown Contingency Plan

Odaily reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on platform X that due to a lapse in appropriations and a (partial) U.S. government shutdown, the SEC is currently operating according to its agency shutdown contingency plan. Starting from January 31, 2026, and until further notice, only a very limited number of staff will continue working.
