Elon Musk's xAI Completes $200 Billion Series E Funding Round, NVIDIA Participates
Odaily reported that xAI announced the completion of its Series E funding round, with actual funds raised reaching $200 billion, exceeding the previously planned $150 billion funding target. The company disclosed that this round's investors include institutions such as Valor Equity Partners, StepStone Group, Fidelity Management & Research, Qatar Investment Authority, MGX, and Baron Capital Group. NVIDIA and Cisco also participated as strategic investors.
xAI stated that in 2025, the company made multiple advancements in computing power and product development, including the construction of the Colossus I and II supercomputing centers, with GPU scale exceeding 1 million H100 equivalent computing power; advancing the training of the Grok 4 series models; and launching products like Grok Voice and Grok Imagine, covering application scenarios such as voice, image, and video generation. The company disclosed that its product portfolio currently covers approximately 600 million monthly active users across X and the Grok application.
The company stated that this funding round will primarily be used to accelerate the construction of computing power infrastructure, support the training of the next-generation Grok 5 model, and promote the continuous development of consumer and enterprise-grade products. xAI also indicated that it will continue to expand its team size to support subsequent research, development, and product deployment.
