Original author: Karen, Foresight News

Today, Scroll officially announced the launch of its mainnet. In fact, Scroll quietly launched the genesis block a week ago, and some projects have begun to integrate or support the Scroll mainnet to provide users with more application scenarios and services.

Although Scroll’s official channels have remained silent over the past week, the Scroll mainnet is already eager to launch. Let us take a look at the data of the Scroll mainnet and which DApps users are interacting with. At the same time, Foresight News will review important milestones in Scrolls development.

Important milestones in Scroll’s development

  • Scroll was founded in 2021.

  • Scroll then received funding from angel investorsraiseto about $3 million.

  • April 2022: Scroll completed a US$30 million Series A financing, led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Robot Ventures, Geometry DAO and others.

  • July 2022: Scroll launches Pre-Alpha testnet.

  • October 2022: Scroll launches an upgraded version of the Pre-Alpha test network to support the deployment of smart contracts.

  • February 2023: Scroll launches Alpha testnet on Goerli.

  • March 2023: Scroll completed US$50 million in financing from investors including Polychain Capital, Sequoia China, Bain Capital Crypto, Moore Capital Management, Variant Fund, Newman Capital, IOSG Ventures, Qiming Venture Partners and OKX Ventures.

  • October 10, 2023: The Scroll mainnet generates the genesis block.

  • October 17, 2023: Scroll officially announced the launch of the mainnet.

Looking back at Scrolls development milestones, we can see that from Pre-Alpha testnet, Alpha testnet, Beta testnet to the official launch of the mainnet, Scroll is constantly attracting participation and feedback from community members, thereby gradually iterating and improving.

At the same time, Scroll has also successfully attracted the attention and financial support of investors, from a seed round of US$3 million, a Series A financing of US$30 million last year, to a new round of financing of US$50 million this year, fully reflecting the markets potential. and prospect recognition.

The launch of the Scroll mainnet marks a new stage for the project. One week after the launch of the mainnet, let’s take a look at the data highlights?

Scroll mainnet has 100,000 transactions per week

First, let’s take a look at the Scroll mainnet transactions. According to Blockscoutdata, the number of verified transactions currently exceeds 100,000 (including contract calls, transactions, transfers, minting, etc.). As of the time of writing today, there are 101,916 transactions. The average daily number of transactions is 12,330, and the number of wallet addresses exceeds 1.8 Ten thousand.

Horizontally, we use the ZK Rollup track for comparison. The leading project zkSync Eras 7-day average number of transactions in the past month was 6.73 million, Starknets 7-day transaction number was 3.53 million, and Lineas 7-day transaction number was 6.73 million. 1.22 million transactions, Polygon zkEVM transactions number less than 200,000.

From this, we can see the transaction status of Scroll mainnet in the ZK Rollup track. Considering that Scroll has not officially announced the launch of the mainnet before, and there is no official participation guidance, it is not yet comparable and remains to be further observed and evaluated.

In terms of block generation, Scroll’s current average block generation time is 10.7 seconds, and the total number of blocks exceeds 73,000.

532 ETH have been cross-chained to Scroll

According to Dunedata, there are currently 532 ETH cross-chain to the Scroll main network, which is approximately US$840,000. On October 11, the second day after the launch of the Scroll mainnet, the largest number of cross-chain ETH came, reaching 243 ETH. In the following days, the number of cross-chain ETH in a single day was around dozens.

As of 15 hours ago, cross-chain independent addresseshave795, of which the address 0x3375255e3e531452be479c4cd68b738193f7fb00 deposited 220 ETH (approximately US$350,000) through 31 cross-chain transactions, accounting for more than 40% of the total cross-chain amount.

from furtherdataIt can be seen that 76% of cross-chain users have made one deposit, and 9 addresses have made more than 10 deposits. In terms of deposit amount, nearly 67% of users (538) deposited amounts between 0-0.1 ETH, and more than half of users (410, 51.6%) deposited amounts between 0.01-0.1 ETH. 5 users have deposited more than 20 ETH.

Which DApps are Scroll mainnet users interacting with?

According to the Blockscout Scroll mainnet Token page, if you refer to the tokens currently holding the largest number of addresses, the projects that are attracting attention include Merkly, Zonic on Scroll, PunkSwap Token, Skydrome, Scroll Name Service, Scroll Doge (zkDoge), Scrollswap Finance Token (SF ), Script (SCRIPT), Scroll Inu. (Sinu).

Among them, Merkly claims to be a multi-functional Omnichain solution that enables cross-chain OFT (claiming MERK tokens and cross-chain) and ONFT (minting NFT and cross-chain) between various networks through LayerZero. On the second day after the Scroll mainnet went online, Merkly supported the transfer of ONFT between Scroll and Optimism, Arbitrum, Avax and Polygon, etc., and also supported small recharges through its Gas Refuel. It is worth noting that the official Merkly page states that the MERK token has an unlimited supply and is not suitable for trading in the open market. In addition, current bridges that support cross-chain assets include Owlto and others.

Zonic is a cross-Ethereum Layer 2 NFT market developed by the Apetimism team. It also integrated Scroll the day after the Scroll mainnet went live. At the same time, Zonic also launched commemorative NFTs for users to claim, and currently 3,302 pieces have been claimed (a total of 100,000 pieces).

Skydrome is a ve(3, 3) exchange on Scroll. It refers to the Velodrome design and combines a liquidity incentive engine, a voting locking governance model, etc. to reward those participants who promote the sustainable development of the protocol.

Scroll Name Service is a domain name project on Scroll. Currently, it has registered 942 domain names and holds 637 addresses.

In addition, similar to other new public chains and new networks, many Meme projects have appeared on Scroll.

However, since many projects are in their early stages of development, users are advised to interact with caution, DYOR.

Overall, with the launch of the Scroll mainnet and official incentives, we can look forward to the Scroll integration of leading DeFi projects and the launch of more native DApps, thereby stimulating further increases in their transaction volume and activity.
