Nine European banks have launched Qivalis, a stablecoin issuer, with plans to launch a euro-denominated stablecoin in the second half of 2026.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that nine major European banks—Banca Sella, CaixaBank, Danske Bank, DekaBank, ING, KBC, Raiffeisen Bank International, SEB, and UniCredit—have announced the launch of Qivalis, a MiCAR-compliant stablecoin issuer. Qivalis will issue a euro-denominated stablecoin under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), with a planned launch in the second half of 2026. BNP Paribas SA recently joined the alliance, further expanding the number of financial institutions participating in this MiCAR-compliant euro stablecoin initiative. (Crowdfundinsider)
