According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Trust Wallet Chinese channel published a post on the X platform clarifying the recent community discussion regarding a vulnerability in an early 2018 wallet version. The vulnerability originated in a third-party open-source random number library widely used in the industry at the time. It was fixed in July 2018 and publicly documented in the Wallet Core library. Officials stated that approximately 10,000 early users were affected; all have been notified and their assets have been migrated, with no losses incurred. Since July 2018, newly created wallets are unaffected. Trust Wallet currently utilizes an audited cryptographic library and a high-strength random number algorithm, and continues to strengthen security through independent security audits and a bug bounty program. The team will also launch a "Wallet Security Awareness Series" to educate users on mnemonics and the principles of random number security, reaffirming its core commitment to transparency and security.
