Robinhood CEO Calls on Trump to Loosen U.S. "Tokenization" Regulations at White House Meeting
Odaily News: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev called on Trump to loosen the U.S.'s "tokenization" regulations at a White House cryptocurrency meeting this morning.
Vlad stated: "Robinhood is using tokenization technology to expand ownership of American assets to users in over 120 countries worldwide. However, this innovation is reaching overseas investors before it can benefit American investors at home. This opportunity goes far beyond just public markets — tokenization will open up markets that have long been out of reach, including private enterprises (unlisted companies). In today's market, too much economic value is being created before ordinary investors even get a chance to participate."
Vlad urged: "Innovation and investor protection are not opposing goals. America became the global capital markets hub precisely because it embraces both. The SEC and CFTC chairs here today also understand that American companies are building this technology, American markets are powering it, and American assets are at its core. American investors should not be the last to benefit. We look forward to continuing to work together to expand ownership, build the next generation of capital markets, and ensure America stays ahead on this path."
