The U.S. government transferred $288 million in seized BTC and ETH to Coinbase Prime

Odaily Planet Daily News: On-chain tracking platform Arkham shows that the U.S. government transferred a total of $288.33 million in seized BTC and ETH to Coinbase Prime on Monday. This includes approximately 3,800 BTC (worth $235 million) and approximately 30,000 ETH (worth $53 million). The assets originated from criminal cases such as those involving Brian Krewson, BTC-e, and Ryan Farace. HashKey Senior Researcher Tim Sun stated that Coinbase Prime serves as the custodian for the U.S. government, and it is still unclear whether the transfer is intended for sale or merely for the integration and custody of seized assets.
