The Qian Zhimin 60,000 Bitcoin case will gradually move into evidence and substantive trial phase after October this year
Odaily Planet Daily News The Qian Zhimin 60,000 Bitcoin case held a three-day hearing from July 7 to 9, 2026. In the next phase, the focus of the case will gradually shift towards evidence and asset tracing (Evidence and Tracing). It is expected that after October this year, the case will gradually enter evidence and substantive trial. The court will focus on:
1. How the Renminbi investment funds entered Lantian Gerui and related accounts;
2. How the funds were collected, transferred, and exchanged;
3. Which funds ultimately have a demonstrable connection to the Bitcoin seized in the UK;
4. The losses, recovered funds, and existing compensation status of each claimant;
5. What specific property relationships exist between individual investors, Lantian Gerui Company, and the Bitcoin involved in the case.
Analysis suggests that only after the dispute over applicable law in July this year and the judge's ruling has been made will the case gradually shift from "determining which law is applicable" to "whether the evidence can prove rights." (Caixin)
