Nvidia temporarily abandons TSMC's COUPE technology solution, shifting to Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform

Odaily Planet Daily News According to sources, Nvidia has decided to temporarily abandon the adoption of TSMC's COUPE (Compact Universal Photonic Engine) technology solution. Nvidia's previous "Plan A" was based on TSMC's COUPE co-packaged optics platform, utilizing 8-wavelength DWDM and approximately 50 to 64G NRZ modulation technology. The latest "Plan B" shifts towards Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform, adopting a 16-wavelength DWDM and 200G/400G PAM4 modulation scheme.
