Bitcoin holdings decreased by 48%, Empery Digital sells 1,400 BTC to pivot to AI data centers

Odaily Planet Daily News Bitcoin reserve company Empery Digital disclosed that it has sold 1,400 BTC in the past two months, with an average selling price of $62,200, cashing out approximately $87.1 million for investment in AI data center projects and debt repayment. Part of the funds were used to acquire a 25% stake in an AI data center project, and another $10 million was used to repay outstanding debt. After this sale, Empery Digital's Bitcoin holdings decreased by 48%, currently holding 1,514 BTC, worth approximately $97 million at current prices. EMPD stock initially rose 4.2% in early trading, eventually closing up 1.58%.
