Iranian Senior Official: We Have Unused Options, Including Blocking the Bab el-Mandeb Strait

According to Odaily Planet Daily, citing Iranian media Fars News, Rezaei, spokesperson for the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, stated: “In future confrontations, the enemy will face comprehensive and sudden strikes from Iran. Iran has numerous options that were not used during the 40-day war, including withdrawing from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, modifying the ‘nuclear strategic doctrine,’ and blocking the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in addition to the Strait of Hormuz. A proposal to withdraw from the NPT is ready for review in parliament. If Iran faces an existential threat, modifying the ‘nuclear strategic doctrine’ could also be put on the agenda.” (Jin Shi)
