According to Odaily Planet Daily, as per MSX.COM data, US stock memory chip concept stocks declined, with SanDisk and Micron Technology falling over 6%, and Western Digital and Marvell Technology dropping over 4%. ON Semiconductor fell over 17%, as the company plans to acquire chip design company Synaptics in an all-stock deal worth $6.2 billion. The optical communications sector opened lower collectively. Lumentum and Coherent fell over 7%, Marvell Technology and Credo dropped over 5%, and Corning fell nearly 3%.
