U.S. net capital inflows reach a record high of $884 billion

According to Odaily, The Kobeissi Letter posted on X platform that in the 12 months ending April 2026, U.S. net capital inflows reached a record $884 billion. This metric reflects the scale of external funds entering the U.S. financial market through private investors and official institutions purchasing U.S. assets.
Net capital inflows have nearly tripled since the beginning of 2025. The peak in 2021 was approximately $400 billion, less than half of the current level. In April, private sector purchases of U.S. stocks totaled $763 billion, a record high; official institution purchases reached $121 billion, more than doubling since the start of the year.
