Central Bank: Build and operate digital RMB cross-border, offshore, and blockchain infrastructure under safe and controllable conditions

Odaily reported that the People's Bank of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government have issued the "Shanghai International Financial Center Offshore Financial Development Action Plan." The plan states that, relying on the Digital RMB International Operations Center, under safe and controllable conditions, digital RMB cross-border, offshore, and blockchain infrastructure will be built and operated. It will prudently advance interconnection with overseas financial infrastructure and steadily promote the application and scenario expansion of digital RMB in offshore business.
