Analyst: Anthropic Has a Clear Advantage Over OpenAI in the Enterprise Market

Odaily Planet Daily News: Julius Baer analyst Enrico Chinello stated that the momentum of AI adoption in the United States suggests Anthropic has surpassed OpenAI, while OpenAI is considering lowering its pricing to counter this trend, drive usage, and regain market share.

The key difference lies in the customer base. Approximately 85% of Anthropic's revenue comes from enterprises, whereas the majority of OpenAI's revenue is derived from ChatGPT consumer subscriptions, with the vast majority of users using the free version. Anthropic's advantage among enterprise users provides it with a clearer path to profitability, while OpenAI's profitability remains uncertain.
